This week, we’re celebrating a major milestone that will shape the future of aerospace training in our region, and across Canada.
The BPL Legacy Association, owners of the KF Centre for Excellence, and Okanagan College are partnering on a new $22 million, purpose-built aerospace training facility.
The 42,000 sq. ft. space will feature modern workshops, classrooms, and a full hangar designed to give students hands-on learning in real industry environments. With this expansion, OC’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programs will grow from 30 to 140 students per year.
Together, we’re building skills, confidence, and career pathways in a sector that’s rapidly growing and vital to Canada’s future.
Construction begins in spring 2026, with students arriving fall 2027, right beside the iconic KF Centre for Excellence.
This is more than a building. It’s an investment in people, community, and the next generation of aerospace professionals.
