The TKI team stopped in at the Young Parent Education Centre to drop off gift items for the YMCA Sponsor a Family Program. This is the first year the YMCA has offered this program and TKI was happy to be one of the local businesses that was able to support a family in need.
The YMCA Sponsor a Family Program provides vital food and gift support to parents in our Young Parents Program (YPP) during the holiday season. The contributions make a significant difference and help create a lifetime of unforgettable memories for the young families.
YPP is an incredible community program that provides young parents, between the ages of 15 to 24, with the fundamental tools they need to thrive. Supports include quality child care, parenting education, nutritional support, life skills training connections to critical resources (clothing, food and more) as well as a supportive community.
