Simmone is academically trained in natural sciences with a Bachelor’s degree in Science & Education, from the University of Technology, Jamaica and a Diploma in Environmental Sciences from the Okanagan College. In 2017, Simmone was introduced to the construction world, while employed at The Home Depot part time and attending OC. Simmone developed construction customer relationships skills through service of DIYers and professional contractors. Simmone previously had a career as a high school teacher in Jamaica and later, as a Quality Control Technician at Sunrype Products Limited, Kelowna.
Before joining the team at TKI Construction, Simmone worked for Westwood Fine Cabinetry, where she was the Coordinator for delivery and installations for millwork products. Simmone worked primarily with builders/general contractors in the construction industry. This is where she truly fell in love with the new side of home improvement/development and decided to pursue this path in another capacity. Simmone’s biggest reward from working in the built environment, to date, is hearing satisfied clients saying “thank you so much, Simmone”.
